Classroom Community
The environment where you learn, explore, challenge, and discover needs to be an atmosphere where you feel safe and secure. I am dedicated to creating a positive learning space that meets these needs. As a team, we will discuss rules/procedures which will give us a framework for classroom etiquette that is grounded in respect. Our classroom will be a space that feels comfortable and where the unique differences of students are celebrated and everyone has a voice. In turn, collaboration and appreciation for multiple perspectives helps everyone feel valued.
It is important to note that the process to establish community is one which takes time, trust, and teamwork. With the right foundation in place, this worthwhile journey will enable me to know my students on a personal level, deeper than their favorite hobbies or most challenging subject matter. Genuine relationship building makes a classroom feel like a community; it sets the stage for a positive experience for both the student and teacher. Together we will uncover their dreams, drive, passion, and goals which will give purpose, supply motivation, and ignite a productive partnership in our classroom community.
